Shots
DAP (vaccine for Distemper, Adenovirus and Parvovirus)
- First shot 6 - 8 weeks
- Booster every 3-4 weeks until he reaches 16 weeks of age.
Rabies
Almost all areas of the country require Rabies shots for your dog's license.
- First shot 12 weeks
- Booster shot once every 1, 2 or 3 years (depending on local laws and your vet's advice).
Bordetella
- Recommended if your dog is going to be placed in a boarding kennel. It is a respratory disease commonly spread trough kennels.
Leptospirosis
- More common in some areas of the country than others. This is not a core vaccination, but your veterinarian may recommend if the disease is common in your area and poses a threat to your Rottie.
